Product Design
Overview
Product design services involve the process of conceptualizing, creating, and refining products that meet user needs and business objectives. These services encompass various stages from initial idea to final product launch. Below are the key aspects typically included in product design services.
Prototyping
Using Figma, I built high-fidelity interactive prototypes to visually communicate the flow and behavior of key interactions—such as hover effects, mobile navigation, modal forms, and the onboarding process. The prototype acted as a clickable demo during design reviews and helped stakeholders visualize the user experience before development.
User Journey Mapping
Mapped out user flows for three primary user types:
New Visitors – Navigating from homepage to product overview → demo → sign-up.
Returning Users – Accessing account login or support center.
Blog Readers – Engaging with thought-leadership content → conversion through lead magnets.
This helped streamline navigation, reduce friction points, and enhance the overall experience for all types of users.
Content Architecture
Developed a clear content hierarchy using card sorting and feedback from internal teams. Page sections were optimized for SEO, scannability, and engagement. Key structures included:
Hero sections with direct CTAs
Feature explanations with iconography
Trust signals (testimonials, case studies)
FAQs and resource hubs
Competitor Research
Conducted an in-depth competitive analysis of 5 top industry players. Identified common patterns in UX (such as dashboard previews, live chat triggers) and unique gaps the client could fill, like offering a clearer pricing breakdown or interactive product demos.
User Persona Development
Developed 3 distinct user personas:
Tech Startup Founder – Budget-conscious, focused on scalability and support.
IT Manager at SMEs – Concerned with integration, security, and ease of use.
Freelance Developer – Interested in API documentation and customization.
Each persona guided design tone, content decisions, and feature prioritization throughout the UX process.
Design Documentation
Created a full UI style guide including:
Color palette aligned with the brand's identity
Typography system (headings, body, CTA)
Button styles and hover states
Iconography and spacing standards
Documented reusable components and page templates to ensure consistency during development.
Final Development on WordPress
Once designs were approved, I collaborated with the WordPress development team (or handled the development myself, depending on scope).
Key implementation highlights:
Built custom WordPress theme using Elementor Pro for flexible content management.
Integrated blog system with category filters and SEO-ready structure.
Added dynamic CTAs, popup lead forms, and testimonials slider.
Ensured full mobile responsiveness and fast performance via caching, image optimization, and lazy loading.
Case Study Summary
This UI/UX-led approach allowed the tech company to:
Launch a professional website that reflects their tech-forward brand
Improve visitor engagement through simplified navigation and CTAs
Increase demo bookings and sign-ups by over 30% within the first quarter post-launch
This project was a complete design-to-launch journey that combined research, strategy, and execution. Through wireframing, prototyping, user journey mapping, and content architecture, I was able to deliver a high-impact user experience that translated seamlessly into a scalable WordPress website.
